Beautiful, but Cheap Rhinestone Tape
My fiance and I knew this was the perfect light for our stairwell and purchased it right after the New Year; when we took it out of the box to assemble, the 'rhinestone tape' strips were peeling away from the frame...we re-aligned and pressed/held for a while to ensure that they wouldn't budge. He surprised me by hanging the light before I came home from work a couple days later (looks amazing), but after a mere 24 hours up, the rhinestone strips are yet again peeling. Lacking quality
Nice light out of the box. I'd rate it a 3 out of 5 in difficulty and installation for a DYI person. After a few days the circle of bedazzled jewels started to separate from the rings. Upon inspection, the jewels that were affixed to a piece of tape started to peel away from the inner rings. Stunning is an understatement!
I completely stalked this globe for months hoping it would go on sale. Sadly, it did not. I bought one and when I got it home, several stones were missing from the strip. I took it back and the manager who knew how desperately I wanted it, went through several before I found the "perfect" one. I am pleased with the light; wonderful appearance and easy to install. Just one little thing I'm not crazy about; the actual fixtures where the bulbs screw into are not perfectly straight and the little chrome pieces that are put over the fixtures do not fit well. I suppose people wouldn't notice how the bulbs aren't perfectly straight, but whomever installs it can tell the slight crookedness. Jewel part falling off out of the box
Just purchased this at Lowe's. The wife was excited to get it up. Took it out of the box when we got home and found that the sparkling jewel part was falling off various parts. It is a ribbon type material with double sided tape on it. If it isn't falling off when you buy it, it probably will over time. I'd get the extended warranty if you still plan on buying it...

Purchased this from a local Lowes Store. My son installed it for me. At first, I was worried because it didn't bling like in the store, but I had put white light bulbs in it...Yuk! The next day I got some clear bulbs and wowwaaa, that is what it needed! It is so sparkly and gorgeous!
