I was warned about the warping
I saw reviews about the Kohler bases being warped, but bought this one anyway because the base itself is nice. My base was also warped in multiple places. Leveled my floor perfectly with floor leveling cement and when the base went down, it rocked back and forth. The back edge also did not sit flush with wall because the lip was bowed inward. There is a half inch gap from the studs. Plumber luckily sees this a lot and was able to work with it, but seems like a common story with these bases. No p...
Warped & Couldn't Install
I purchased this product from another home improvement online store first and my plumber when trying to install it was not able to because the bottom was not level and the threshold was sunken in the middle. I then ordered the same shower base at Lowe's and opened the box upon pick-up only to find the same defects. My plumber installed the drain to fit this exact shower base and now has to do all the work over again because I'm not risking a third try with this base. Bad product, don't waste you...

Manufacturing Defect - All 3 units warped
I've ordered this product 3 times now over the course of the last six months. All 3 units have the same defect as listed in some other reviews - threshold, entire unit warped or bowed. The current unit I have now has a blade mark near the drain hole as well a being warped (see pics). This is the only unit that will fit my space and work with my current plumbing/joist setup - which is why I continue to order in hopes I get a usable product. Well made, sturdy
We just received this (replacement for the first one that was damaged in transit). Seems well made and very sturdy. We are doing new construction and our plumber just had it installed over the rough plumbing, but occupancy wont happen until this Summer, so we've yet to use it - but so far, so good.
Drain base wasn't level.
We are pleased with the shower base except that the drain base wasn't ground level on the underside. It would have delayed the project so our GC was able to make it work, but warned that it was a big bummer because it affects the way it seals. We checked it upon arrival, but that was something we just didn't know to look for.
