Never Buy This - Constant Jams

I bought this disposal, paid $250 to have it installed, and within a month, it jammed and would not clear. I call Insinkerator to make a warranty claim and was told that they would only replace it and not cover installation. After paying a second $250 to have the new disposal installed, it too failed after six months. It just locks up if not used for more than a day.

Problem discharging ground vegetables

I'm really just looking for advice. We have 2 kitchen sinks - a regular size and a smaller "prep sink." We have an "Evolution Prestige Space Saver XP-1" in the prep sink. I bought this to replace a Badger1, which was still working but I wanted a garbage disposal that was more powerful and quieter. I have been using this Evolution Spacesaver XP for a month now and it does seem to be a quality product and is definitely quieter. Easy install, VERY quiet

I was replacing a dead 18+ year old store brand 3/4 horsepower disposal, which was actually made by InSinkErator. I bought this new Evolution model this morning, and even being very careful and patient I had it installed in about 90 minutes. Hardest step was getting the snap ring onto the bottom of the sink flange. I needed the wife's extra hand for that. Horrible Drain design

I bought this to replace the Badger SS model I had for 10 years, after it gave out on me. Thought I would buy the best one, hoping to never replace it again. The Badger SS had a drain pipe that would bolt onto the side of it, keeping it nice and secure. So Far So Good.. Easy Installation.but heavy

This disposal is replacing a 25 + year old Premium Series Kenmore Disposal that was still working but was very noisy and vibrated a lot. This one is so quiet and doesn't sound like am earthquake every time you start it up. Durability remains to be seen, but my guess is that it will last at least through the 7 year warranty period.
