Do yourself a favor and replace all the under-sink drain pipes at the same time- consider replacing the “Strainer Basket” in the other side (of a 2 compartment sink) as well. Great replacement for the old model- fit perfectly

I was initially concerned that replacing the old insinkerator model was not going to be as easy as it sounded. My installation used a straight drain vs the downward type provided. The installation instructions did account for this type of drain, and the existing pipe fit perfectly despite the newer model housing being larger in diameter. DYI IS DOABLE BUT WITH CAVEATS

TOO SOON TO TELL. But about the installation I installed it 9/23/2022 after watching three or four videos on DYI installation for this unit. My old 3/4 HP Kenmore finally died after 13 + years of faithful service( 9 years past warranty). I understand this one comes with a 6 year warrant [7 year implied in one advertisement]. I purchased a defective item, Top bracket deformed

I purchased this model on September 14 at store 1579, North San Antonio, on 1604 and Blanco Rd. The top bracket on the disposal itself was deformed and worse yet there were no instructions. I had to go to the website and download and print. This deformed bracket would not slide down the grooves at the top of the garbage disposal. I mounted the new in sink bracket.
