Pulled them out of the display wrapper almost immediately after receiving them and tried them on 12 ga solid and 22 ga solid, and they were great. Stripped the insulation off cleanly without nicking the wire. Very solid feel and sharp, for cleanly cutting insulation or wire. well labelled and very useful

This wire stripper is very well labelled as per the various gauges of wire that can be worked on. In addition, it is labelled on both sides of the wire stripper, so therefore you can use this regardless of which way you pick it up. Perfectly Engineered for me!

I'm a "southpaw" so having the markings on both sides is awesome. The fact that both the solid and stranded wire sizes are shown is great reference. I love the locking feature and that lends itself to very well to inadvertent accidents when reaching into your tool pouch. It strips both solid and stranded wire without "nicking" the wire(s). I also like the serrated jaws for bending wires and holding crimps in place. Overall, a great addition to my electrical toolbox.

Solid pair of wire strippers

These are probably the most lightweight wire strippers I've ever held but that doesn't detract from how solid and well built they are. They're very sharp and I think they'll hold up for quite a long time.

Ok, not outstanding

This is a serviceable wire stripper. It is a bit more compact compared to the wire stripper I normally use. The stainless steel construction would be nice if you are working in a moist environment, but electricity and water don’t play nice together. The handles have a good cushion to them, but have a tendency to twist when pressure is applied from certain hand positions.

Great Stripper

I was leery of replacing my conventional handy dandy wire stripper from the 90's... this is much better in every way. I liked this Ideal Stainless Straight wire Stripper because it is smaller, fits nicely in my hand, strips and cuts 10-20 AWG wire easily and I also liked the plier tip nose that allows stripper to pull and loop a wire. Well made great Stripper.

Clean Cut

This wire stripper is very nice, stainless steel so they will not rust, nice cushioned handle that locks when not in use....clean cut when stripping the wire no matter what gauge... crimped on the end so they can be used to grip and twist two wires together... a nice tool to have in the tool belt....

Best Purchase in a While

I have a couple of wire cutters from years past. They all have been the same, mashing the wire when stripping the outer protection and not cutting through when snipping wires. These are smaller, light weight and are sharp. They worked perfectly installing lights and sped up the job so much faster when you have the right tool.
