I bought 2 of these in November 2024. One of the GFCI outlets failed in less than a year after only a few uses. I did not replace it until it was past it's 1 year warranty period. I think the covers are ok but a standard heavy duty extension cord is very difficult to close the cover while plugged in.

While this cover does allow enough clearance for you to have a regular, non-flat plug plugged into it with the cover closed, the "EZ Change" pin is not easy to pull out. There are reviews here where many people said it was easy for them, while a handful like me struggled with it (hammering and prying didnt work, had to use WD-40 to get the pin to budge). Tough installation, looks like it will work well
Once installed, I'm sure it will work fine, hopefully for a long time. However, it was far harder to install than it really needed to be. First, changing the installation from vertical to horizontal just requires removing a plastic pin and reinserting it the slot on a different side of the box. Solid "In Use" Cover
This is the third in-use cover I've swapped out for the 'flush' covers that were installed on our house. They've all been easy to install and kept outlets for outdoor lighting and irrigation protected. My only complaint is that the foam gasket on the rear is fairly thin and doesn't conform as well as I'd like to our rougher stucco finish.
