Wire shelves: REALLY

Whoever designed this fridge with wire shelves needs to et their head examined. If you spill something or have something very small, it just spills/falls through to the next shelf & so on. I had to order fridge shelf liners. The light is in a poor position and the refrigerator runs a good portion of the time.

Not so great!!!

The Fridge is ok. However sometimes the temperature goes up in the box and the fridge unexpectedly. I have only had this Fridge for about 1 month. There warranty is a joke . I ll never buy GE again..

Inexpensive, simple refrigerator

The worst time to look for a new refrigerator is when you absolutely positively need one because your current ride has melted all the ice cream and the bacon is on the verge of spoiling. Eh, it's OK but LOUD.

It's a refrigerator. A smallish one (but of course I knew that). --The inset door handles take some getting used to. --There's no meat or dairy drawer. --The worst part: it is LOUD when running. A lot louder than my 25-year old fridge.

Worked as stated, ran upon plug in, would be nice to have an thermometer to know at what proficiency the item was working at to make a better judgement/review, the direction/operations sheet was a little sparse on info & features, didn't included or recommendations as to how to best efficiently use in different climates, found out that if place an item in the middle of the back of the top fridge shelf it will freeze with water crystals coating item-need distance markings. Love GE products

This is our 2nd fridge, same model. We replaced because it became very noisy, the freezer worked but the refrigerator was not cooling off. We decided to just replace since the same model was available. So far happy with the two upgrades. First, the light in the frridge is LED and much nicer than the bulb. Also the cold air comes from the back of the fridge rather from the front control cold regulator & light bulb fixture attached. Hoping this will last longer than 8 years.

Good Basic Fridge

Bought this to replace the 30+ year old one that went out. It's an older home and was limited on size options. This one was the largest that I could get to fit in the space. It can be loud in a quiet home, sometimes I get up to see if there's water running only to pass the refrigerator and realize that it's making the noise. The Normal setting isn't quite cold enough, the next setting up is better and I may try the next coldest setting. Still trying to get used to not having actual handles.

A Perfectly Sized Refrigerator

Just received this Hotpoint Refrigerator/Freezer today. I love the roominess inside, the clean lines of the exterior, and the well-lit interior. I look forward to using this product for many years to come.

Perfect for me

It's been running for a week now. I realize that's not long, but I'm so impressed with this fridge! It's small, but holds a LOT of food. I prefer the metal shelves, which is one of the reasons I picked this one. My previous fridge had glass shelves and one of the frames around it had cracked. I'm sure the glass would have been next. After I bought this one, I found out it is one of the highest rated refrigerators out there. I got exactly what I wanted in this appliance.
