Great alternative to Nest. I’ve had news for years, but when they discontinued my model and told me I was going to be forced to upgrade to a newer model I refuse to give in to their demands and a friend told me about Honeywell so I went with it and it does just as good as nest. The only thing I miss is seeing the history of how much power was used, but that’s no big deal.

Easy to install, great support, great product
I actually installed this myself. When I had a question, I called Resideo and received a quick response from a real person, who told me what adjustment I needed to make. I have now had it running for three months, perfectly. I also connect it to Alexa and at night often tell Alexa to change the temperature from my bed at night. When I am away for an extended time the app works perfectly.

Try a different smarter Wi-Fi thermostat
The app is very outdated. Also, there is no options to control cycles per minute or minimum run time to help with humidity control.

So good I bought another one
I bought one of these in 2020 with a new HVAC system and it worked great until this year when it got zapped by a power surge that also messed up the control unit in the main unit. Fortunately the same model thermostat was still available, although it appears to be on Clearance now. I will say the touch screen performance on the old unit degraded some over the years, so I'm not sure if that will be an issue this time or not. Can I control just the humidity setting?
I've tried and tried to figure out if I can just set the humidity setting regardless of the temp to control the environment in my Florida house while we're away. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this? Thanks!

Unreliable
Will not reconnect to Wi-Fi if signal is lost or interrupted. This is especially problematic since my control of this thermostat is remote
