Someone working with me on my townhouse switched another color address # to black without consulting me. It didn’t look bad, but I just prefer to have all brushed nickel or any sort of nickel, as all my drawer, cabinet pulls & knobs, and door handles are nickel & this is a nice piece. It looks great on my front door, with fresh paint!

Outstanding Quality and Looks
These are very well made and look great. Nice and solid construction with excellent finish. Instructions are printed on the inside of the card used for display package. Comes with appropriate screws although I was not too sure how well they would work on the type of material I wanted to use. I actually bought some screws and ferrels to mount them like I wanted them. I wanted to mount them on a fence out by my driveway and wasn't sure how they would work on vinyl posts. Might have been good...

They look nice on our cedar house! I thought the nickle would be a little more reflective at night but you really can't see them after dusk without a light.
Well made product
These feel hefty and well made. Each comes with a printed template to tape on the walls so you will be able to correctly mark the holes. The instructions were decently good and I followed them to the letter, which you have to do to install them well. However, at the last step I found that you do NOT need the caulk or adhesive to fill the holes, at least if you are mounting them in wood. The spacers fit so tightly in the holes that simply tapping the into place is sufficient--those numbers aren't...

When I first saw this, I was a little skeptical that it could accurately represent the number eight, particularly with its slender look, however, I have been blown away with its performance! It perfect represents the number, exactly one more than seven, and one less than nine. With it’s stylishly rounded upper and lower lobes, it contrasts beautifully with the sleek straight lines of the porch columns which is its home. I am also pleased with the way it perfectly lines up with the other numbers...

I'm glad i read the reviews before installing. Tip one: Thread the hardware into the numbers carefully. It's very cheap metal. Tip two: Once you have the hardware screwed in, place the numbers on the templates and use them to make holes. They line up mostly, but not 100% perfect. I made the holes in the templates with the posts in the numbers, taped them up, used a punch to mark the holes then followed the directions to the letter. Or number I guess. They look great.
Nice Modern Touch
It was easy to install on the front of our house. The numbers are a nice shape and easy to see from the street. Only downfall I would say is in the evening. We installed them with the floating look and the porch light casts a shadow with the numbers making them harder to differentiate (ex. 3 can look like 8 with shadow) versus if they were flush mount.

A little tricky to get them lined up, If I had it to do over again, I would: 1. cut out all the templates and glue them all to a thin piece of wood, in a row 2. Drill all the holes at the markers 3. Hold up the template to the wall and level it. 4 Mark all the holes with a punch. 5. Drill all the holes a little smaller than the mounting bolts that are included. 6. tap the numbers into place. 7. If any are off, enlarge the holes with a file, straighten and brace with toothpicks and caulk. 8. touc...
