Beautiful Ceiling Fan
I love the look and finish of this fan! I ended up using the black side of the fan blades instead of the wood grain side, (which is what the initial plan was but the wood grain didnt match as well as i thought), and ended up liking the all black fan way more then i thought i was going to. Its a very sleak simplistic look which is what i was going for and im very happy with it. Install was super easy but i would recommend having one other person to hand you things or hold the fan while installing...

Deceiving Package labeling
Fan is labeled remote ready. However, fan doesn't contain remote receiver. This means you need to buy a remote with receiver. You are at the same cost as buying a fan with remote when all is said and done. Called Lowes and was on with customer service for an hour and they didn't have an enough information to inform me remote ready just means that it is compatible for use with a universal remote. Coastal Creek Ceiling Fan Nice ceiling fan installed as a replacement fan. It was mounted onto our existing well braced metal ceiling fan box. My brace is a 2X4 cross brace I cut and installed between the rafters in the attic years ago. I drilled holes in the metal box and secured it to the brace with 3 or 4 pan head screws.
