I have had these light fixtures for just over five years. The plastic is cheap and degraded severely overtime and became brittle. It was so brittle in fact that the fixture completely broke off the mount when trying to change the light bulb. Will not be buying these anymore.

Good porch light
I liked the looks. A very good design. It is all plastic and therefore it will not rust. It is lightweight and easy to install.

Deteriorates in sun
installed a pair of these on my Florida Home. the started to deteriorate, within two years, the plastic breaking down in the sun. I sanded of the loose powdery surface and then painted to protect from sun and got a few more years out of them. No reason why they could not be made out of UV stable plastic

Outdoor Light Fixture. White 13" one Light
I absolutely Love this Light Fixture! Quality is there. The price was also awesome on Lowes .com. I cannot stop looking at them. YES , I said "them" . I loved the first one so much that, with the style I was looking for on my House, it was a hit. So I bought one also for my side door.. The only thing I think , I would have liked to see is this very same fixture with a "Light sensor" . but would totally recommend it .

These are great sturdy outside lights.
I've had these lights on my house for around 12 years. Down at the coast nothing lasts! I was thrilled to find these to replace the one that finally broke during a pretty good storm!

Had 7 years! You can CLEAN the plastic!!
I have had these for seven years and I live in a beach community. I have had no problem with rust on the bolts/hardware as others have noted. But I did have ugly black mildew that no cleaner could remedy, but then I found a bleach solution made the plastic look like NEW! The photo shows the top of shade. I did end up taking off the lower rings, as I thought they didn’t really enhance the light.
Good value if bought on sale
I bought and installed two of them today (7/24/17). Except for the screws, mounting bracket and one bolt everything is plastic (the bulb enclosure is probably polycarbonate) even the nuts. The mounting bracket does not match the instructions but is a very common piece of lighting construction so some prior experience with lighting installation will probably help a lot. I recommend completely assembling the fixture, then attaching the bracket, then connecting the wiring and then fitting the fixtu...
NOT OCEAN BEACH SUITABLE
FIRST WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DETERIORATION FROM SALT AIR! I have used these on our beach house for 5 years. First NONE of the hardware is Stainless so the plated hardware will fail within 1-2 years. Second the plastic degrades and is very prone to mildew. AT $42 this unit is not a great deal for ocean coastal environments. If you decide to use them plan on replacing in less than the warranty. My vinyl siding doesnt degrade like the fixtures so clearly the material in these fixtures is not suita...
No corrosion, but they do mildew.
Great looking light fixture, but after a couple of years on the Texas coast most of the nine I have on a new home have mildewed so bad the plastic turns grey when you try to clean them. If anyone has a solution to this problem, via paint of a cleaner I am all ears.
