Absolutely TERRIBLE quality control!

This is supposed to be the best, highest quality metal shelving unit you can buy. There are cheaper alternatives, but I paid more for this because it's supposed to be the highest quality. The reality is quite the opposite. The quality control is terrible. It arrived unpainted, rusty and with broken welds. Great product! So easy to put together - no tools required. Instructions state to use two people for assembly. I am a 5’2”, 68 yo female, and I assembled this 77” Wide Heavy Duty Rack by myself with minimal effort. Instructions were easy to follow - all pieces just slide in. Extremely disappointed

Bought this shelving unit and a gladiator cabinet. Finally got word last Tuesday, Feb 28th to schedule delivery. Only thing they have open is for Tuesday 3/7. Get three text messages in a row on Sunday 3/5 that unit would be delivered between 12pm and 4pm on Monday 3/6. Stay home all afternoon and they show up shortly before 5pm, can't even get in the 4 hour window. Turns out the shelving unit is damaged, so don't even have them take it off the truck. Sounds like I'll have to wait another ...

Setup was easy. Directions could be a little clearer for those unfamiliar with this type of unit but for others it's almost self explanatory. I counted the openings for the correct position on both sides. What I should have done was put both end sections together and simply mark them where I wanted the shelf. Can no longer recommend due to manufacturer change

I bought one of these shelves in the spring of 2018. It is great. Easy to assemble, and built like a tank. I purchased a second shelf in November 2018. As what I would guess to be a cost saving measure, Gladiator changed the wire shelf that rests on the support beam. The older unit had double wires on the ends and in the middle, as well as several more wires closer together. The newer units has no double wires, and fewer cross wires leading to a much weaker feeling shelf that shows obvious sag...
