Freedom 36" Margate

annoying at best

no instructions, weird caps, garbage screws. these are my first impressions. it looks pretty but my local Lowe's doesn't carry the wall brackets which is stupid and frustrating. the screw stripped out as soon as I put a little torque on it, wtf mate? just a big let down overall.

Nice system when you understand it

The Margate rail system is well thought out. The documentation is unfortunately horrible. Anyways, you will realize that you need three categories of items - a) the rails b) the posts, and c) the connectors. For the rails you need either the straight or stair version. Then, the posts have two types as well (stair type and one for everything else.) Two helpful tips: 1) You do NOT need to double up posts on top of stairs or corners. 2) The connector angle piece needed for the top of the stair post...

Breezy Installation

It was a no-brainer to choose a deck rail that was pre-assembled. Soooo superior to spending all that time to thread stainless steel wires through small holes and later having to keep them tightened. Installation was a breeze!

Nice looking product but there are limitations

Great look and finish but there are limitations and hassles if you need a wall mount application. We bought a set of these for a job where we needed to mount to existing walls and vertical support posts. There used to be a wall mount bracket available for $11, but it is no longer available through Lowes. Since the manufacturer is exclusive to Lowes, there is not any other option for wall mount except to do a custom order through the pro desk and they jacked the price on the little wall mount...

Looks great indoors. Easy to cut!

This railing looks great indoors. Nice value and the system is sturdy and quality. From my contractor: Installed like a dream!!!! Left plenty of room for miss cuts. Snapped right in. 10/10 best railing ive installed

Nice clean looking rail option. One huge issue!

Rail system is on the pricey end once you purchase all of the connector parts. Final product looks great. Each joint at the post requires a seperate purchase for whichever type of joint it is. THIS RAIL SYSTEMNCAN ONLY BE CORNER INSTALLED AT 90 DEGREE ANGLES. NO OPTION FOR AN ADJUSTABLE ANGLE ADAPTER. Would have been great to know that before beginning the install. Pretty angry that no where in the literature does it mention this.

Very good quality aluminum, the powder coating is high quality and looks great finished.

Great design - EASY to install

I applaud Freedom for making these kits so easy to use. Did not need a lot of experience to install and they go onto an existing deck with very little prep. I recommend this product and am removing the railings from another deck and replacing it with these. I really feel like they are made to last virtually forever. They also look great and increase line of sight into our yard.

Easy DIY Railing System

Easy to install. Note that end picket spacing is different for the 8ft kit. You may want to cut the 8ft kit to make the picket spacing by the posts match if using both 6ft and 8ft sections.
