fantastic tool. feels real solid and durable. YT reviews say positive things and on par with top speed torque numbers with Milwaukee M18 Fuel, so when I saw the combo deal with charger and 2 of the newer tech stacked batteries at closeout prices....I couldn't turn down this opportunity to try the Flex platform. Not only a pro level hammer drill, but also the Flex impact driver. I've used Milwaukee and Dewalt pro lines for work job sites, and Makita LXT for home use....and so far, I'm impress...

The upgrade you need, with everything you want.

Great feel in the hand. Far more powerful than the Ryobi item I am was using. Ended up also being significantly less expensive as well. Excited to get more tools in the line.

This delivers. It has all the smooth speed and power you need with 2 speed settings and Turbo- which makes a significant difference. I also enjoy all the bells and whistles. The clutch steps up and down in predictable increments. The chuck is solid and doesn't overtighten so you don't break your wrist removing bits and the battery life indicator, side handle and bit holder are very useful. It has a belt clip but, the tool is heavy so I haven't used it although I never used belt clips with drills...

Warranty

I like everything about Flex Tools except the part in order you get the warranty you have to register you tools with purchase receipt, because I did have a set of power tools and when I purchased them did not know had to register to have the warranty , now the drill is broken and it is not covered under warranty. Even though they know its Flex and it is their product.

Are we really getting what they're telling us?

I've had my Flex drills, angle grinders and hammer drills for quite some time, the impact driver I bought back in 2022. After they exhausted all the defective batteries that leaked, costing FLEX more money by replacing them you would think they'd learn their lesson with the consumer base. It is not that their tools are bad it's the marketing department along with the engineers who are manipulating whatever mechanical or marketing strategies thinking they can still get over the American Consumer....

A beast

I have used this thing for cable bits and augers and spade bits and it hasn't let me down once. I keep it in turbo mode and it will spin you around a cable bit if you don't have a good hold on it. You definitelyget more power than you pay for on this one.

Very powerful and premium. I use to have Dewalt's high end dcd998 and the flex drill is better in every way. I had to mix a bag of mortar for tile(I know it's not the correct tool it's all I had) with both drills at one point in each life. The dealt would almost instantly smell like burning electronics and get incredibly hot. I thought that was normal given the extreme load of mixing a full bag of mortar. But the flex didn't care at all. I put it on the 1st speed and it didn't get hot, it didn't...
