Good switch, directions could be better

I waffled between giving this a 4 or a 5 because of the install, which I will get to in a minute, but overall I think it's a good switch for the price and does what it's supposed to so I will give it a 5. Provided you have a smart home system controller you are almost set. You must make sure that your house is wired with a neutral, usually several white wires tied together in the back of your switch box. Very high failure rate

I wish I could give a zero star rating. Don't waste your time and money on this product. I expected Eaton to be a more reliable brand, but so far 3 out of 4 of these switches have failed within months of installation. I hired an electrician recommended by Eaton for the installation to ensure the three-way switches were wired correctly, but two failed within a few weeks and the third within 9 months. Doesn't connect to Alexa / Ring

After some trial and error from suggestions from people online I got one of the two I bought to connect to Ring, but the second would not. Adding to Ring it would just immediately say "Retry". Tried the various methods posted online like adding without the QR code number. Doesn't work. I'll have to replace both since their appearance should match.

This Eaton Z-Wave Plus switch replaces a non-Plus switch currently in use. Z-Wave Plus is an updated protocol that mostly allows the device to update its state in the controller when it is switched manually. I use the Habitat Elevation controller for my home automation. You have to by this EATON HOMECT $300 hub, just to change the default state of the blue led light. All other brands that I have seen - default that the led light on the switch is on when the overhead light is off (so you can find it in the dark).
