What Customers Are Saying
The EGO 24-inch 2-stage electric snowblower is a powerful and efficient tool that can handle heavy, wet snow and deep drifts effectively. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver, with quiet operation and no gas/oil maintenance required. The included batteries typically provide 30-60 minutes of runtime, depending on conditions. While the chute control mechanism could be more secure, and battery life may be insufficient for large driveways, the snowblower is generally considered a reliable and high-performing electric snow removal solution.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Very nice machine
Have gone through one season and no major issues. It was a heavier year for snow in southern Ontario. Appears well made. No creaks or loose parts and works like a snowblower should. Things I think could be a bit better: 1. Front end weight. Not often but sometimes I find the machine will float over heavier or packed snow. 2. Not sure if the battery needs time when it first starts, but if I start the machine and begin augering right away,I have had the machine stall out of there is a lot o...

Not safe on a steep driveway!
Don't buy this snowblower if you have a steep driveway! I really wanted to like this snowblower because everything sounded exactly like what I was looking for. An electric snowblower that would be lighter, quieter, and exhaust free compared to my old gas one. And to be honest, it actually performed very well on the flat portion at the top of my driveway. Unfortunately, this machine has a major design flaw that makes it dangerous if you try to use it on any kind of steep sloped driveway. ...

If it breaks, they will not fix it
I was very excited about this purchase, and I used the snowblower quite successfully the 1st time. But the 2nd time I used it, it stopped propelling under load (i.e. the wheels move fine if you lift it off the ground, but once you put it back on the ground, there is no movement). In looking online, it’s a known issue with the year/model I have (and a straightforward repair for it). I contacted the manufacturer (Lowes just sells them), and it took a couple of weeks for them to respond that “th...

Not ready for prime time
I've had this only a few weeks and storm Fern gave it a real test! I got ~3 inches of snow plus 3 inches of sleet on top. Neither this snowblower nor my gas snowblower could cut through the icy sleet layer, which made it a real challenge to clear my driveway. (I had to use a shovel to break up the sleet layer before the snowblowers could do anything.) Here's why I don't give this 5 stars. 1 ) The controls and displays need a lot of refinement. I don't like the chute rotation handle. Too gimm...

Don’t buy for big driveway
I do not recommend buying this snow blower if your driveway holds more than 3–4 cars. You will face constant issues with overheating and extremely fast battery drain, forcing you to finish the job with a shovel. A major downside is the lack of fast charging after the batteries finally cool down, making it hard to get back to clearing snow. So, I will emphasize once again: only buy this snow blower for small areas.

Battery Life is Poor
I purchased this snow blower new in the summer of 2021. It has had less than 50 hours of lifetime usage and I would estimate less than 30 charge/discharge cycles of the original pair of 7.5 A-H batteries. When new it would run for an hour and still show 3 of 5 bars of life on both batteries. This last week it immediately goes from 5 bars to 2 bars as soon as you hit snow. The blower is good for 30 minutes before one of the batteries signals flashing red. After which you need to cool down the bat...

Love this in Minnesota!
Here is a polished, ready-to-post review based on your experience in Brainerd: --- **⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ POWER+ 24" Self-Propelled 2-Stage Snow Blower – Outstanding Performance in Real Minnesota Winters** I’ve used the EGO POWER+ 24-inch self-propelled 2-stage snow blower several times here in Brainerd, Minnesota, including on our driveway, patio, and even a narrow dog run, and it has performed exceptionally well in every situation. This machine has more than enough power to handle heavy, wet snow as...

Solid product, but some improvements are needed
The advantage of owning the ego snowplow is that you don’t have to trouble yourself fetching gasoline. That convenience is wonderful. In comparison to my gasoline powered snowblower I find the electric version from ego is less powerful. Even in a turbo mode, it doesn’t throw snow as far as my gas powered blower. This caused me to change the strategy to handle less snow so that I can throw the snow as far as I could. I do this by pre-shoveling or doing a smaller section at a time which takes more...

Almost there…
I bought this about 4 years ago. We used to have a driveway that could fit about a 5-6 cars in total. This was perfect for that. Also had softer snow and the batteries easily lasted the whole driveway and a sidewalk we had to clear. We since have moved to the northeast where the snow is… wetter. Our new driveway is about 2-3 times as large and requires the whole 7.5 ah batteries and about a half charge of 5 ah batteries. It works, but the thing struggles throwing snow the width of our new drivew...

Great Power in an Easy to Use Packsge
I bought my EGO 24 inch snowblower to replace my larger gas model, which honestly was more than I needed. In addition, the larger model was too big for me to transport for service myself, so I had to pay for it to be picked up and dropped off in addition to the service charges. The snowblower packs a lot of power in a compact chassis that is easy to maneuver and digs through snow plow easily. You have to learn a new technique a bit, when using it to clear out the hard packed snow pile at the en...
