An awesome tape measure, I've been using tape measures for 20+ years and they make good tape measures and they make great tape measures, but as far as improvements a tape measures always just been a tape measure, you pick the one that just feels right and go on about your day. There are a few good things about this tape measure and a few that could be improved. Overall, I like it though, so it's a keeper. Taking it out of the package was a lot more difficult than necessary. It was clipped tightly to the plastic and cardboard and there was no easy way to pull it out. The screw holding the clip was a bit loose and in the process I rotated the body of the tape measure and it mangled the locating pin. See the picture. Easy to Read, Hard to Live With

I bought this for the easy-to-read two-sided tape and the positive reviews. I assumed the other features would be great. The first disappointment was the "reach" which doesn't deliver as promised. The recoil is so strong this thing makes you want to wear heavy gloves just for the hand and finger protection from this tape measure's bite. The "lock" button doesn't. Solidly built, metal tape marked top & bottom

The Crescent Lufkin Shockforce Nite Eye 25ft tape measure feels like quality as soon as you pick it up. Great knife, big blade, folds small Quite a sturdy feeling pocket knife, and for the length of the blade, it folds surprisingly small. The clip does make it a little bulky at the end, but it can be removed if necessary by removing two small torx screws. Absolutely my New Favorite!! Brilliant Features!!

The idea to use green on black was brilliant!!! Everything is so easy to see and the numbers are quite large which again makes it much easier to use and measure. Every foot is marked with the colors inverted and this makes it easier to read from a distance. And the graduations are shown with a different orientation on the reverse side of the tape which will make it much easier when taking vertical measurement (see photo). Good Feel, Great Action

This is my first foray into a 3.25in pocket knife, so I'm a little biased to begin with as I prefer a slightly smaller size. That being said, I may now have to change my preference in pocket knife sizes! The composite handle is extremely light-weight and has a nice ergonomic fit that I expect the be very comfortable throughout use. Top of the line

Oh my goodness. This is now my top tape measure. There is so much to say about it. First it is a solid tape with wicked construction. I know it will be able to take my drops and miss handling. The tip has some sort of abrasive that makes it hold on to slick surfaces and boy does it do that. I can send the tape out around 10 feet before it breaks so it works great for that reach. The body is 3" so I can get an easy inside measurement and the markings on the tape are so easy for this old guy ...

Heavy Duty

Lufkin has a long history. This Lufkin tape gives every impression of living up to the company's reputation. It has a lot of heft and solidity, especially for plastic-cased tool. Not Glow in the Dark

This tape measure is the first with a black background and green numbers. It is not a glow in the dark. There are people with color vision problems that have trouble seeing contrasting colors even though they are not color blind. The large numbers and different colors could be an alternative for people with low vision. The tape is well made and lighter in weight than the Shockforce G2 yellow blade.
