What Customers Are Saying
The saw blade provides smooth, clean, and precise cuts on composite materials like decking and flooring, with no melting, chipping, or splintering. The 72-tooth carbide blade design allows for fast, effortless cutting even at lower speeds, and the thin kerf helps reduce waste. The blade stays sharp through extensive use and does not build up excessive heat, making it suitable for composite materials that can be prone to melting. Overall, it is a high-quality, durable blade that delivers excellent results on a variety of composite and plastic projects.

This thin kerf carbide blade is designed for cutting cellular PVC material used in decking. There are multiple slots to help dissipate heat which can cause melting of the composite material and burn marks as the blade heats up. It also has an “Active Shield” coating to reduce gumming and corrosion. The tips are “Razor Tipped™” and supposed to give 50% smoother cuts. I didn’t have composite decking on hand but I did put the blade to use in cutting a variety of different materials. The saw I u...
Quality and engineering make a great blade.
Sharp blades are so important, being able to properly work with materials ensures they live upto there expectations. Composite decking is no different than hard woods, they get hot when you cut them and they will wear out a blade very quickly. What I like about this blade is its heft, you are getting a solid piece of metal, it also is prepared to contend with the heat generated from the cuts. That heat melts and burns the materials and the heat eventually warps the blade. They have kerfs or re...

The Crescent 10 inch miter saw blade
The biggest problem with this blade was the installation on the saw. No fault of the blade, instead a stubborn piece of the saw that resisted being moved. The blade itself preformed well and in the use of the blade I did notice a much smoother cut over the old blade. Both blades had the same number of teeth, so were equals in appearance. The Crescent blade is cutting a smoother cut than my old blade ever accomplished. The Crescent name has been around the hardware trade for a long unlit you of...

I wish I had this saw blade last year.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only briefly tested this saw blade, but I am very impressed with the cuts I made with it. Last spring I replaced the old decking on my front porch with composite decking, but I used an old saw blade instead of buying a proper one. I wish I had this saw blade last year. I am glad to have this saw blade now because I plan to use it this coming spring when replacing another old deck on property with new composite. To test the blade I started...

Nice Fine Cut Blade for Composite Decking
This blade seems to do a good job with what it is designed for - cutting composite decking. It is a fairly easy switch with most 10 inch miter saws and cuts a slightly nicer line than my old banged up general utility blade. That said, if you do a lot of mixed use (for example: framing and decking in one go), it might be a bit of a pain to use a dedicated composite decking blade. Due to cool weather and relatively few cuts needed, I could not tell in my use if the heat dissipation characterist...

Smooth Cutting of Composite Materials
This is a great blade for working with composite materials. The blade is thin, dissipating the heat quickly, allowing for a clean cut with no melting of the composite surface. The blade diameter is a little smaller, which reduces the cutting velocity by 10 or 15%. This also reduces the amount of friction, the blade doesn’t slow down, and also works to keep the temperature down. The particles that are cut away from the composite material are very fine (approximately the size of a grain of san...
We would recommend this blade for multiple uses.
We are redoing our kitchen and bought this blade to cut through our Corian countertop. It cut through it with such ease!!! We also used it to cut out our kitchen subfloor with no problem!

Nice Saw blade
I'm using Timber Tech composite decking for my project and when I saw the Crescent 7 1/4" composite saw blade I thought I would give it a try. When I first opened the package and saw how thin this blade was I was skeptical. You can see from the photos that the teeth are only 1/16" wide. I have never had a saw blade this thin. But you can also see from the video that this blade cuts like butter. There are no melted edges or as I call them goobers when done. Just a nice clean cut with no swirl mar...
Clean and Sharp
I chose to try out the Cresent Tool 7 1/4 Circular saw 44T blade on my projects around the house. I was interested in trying it as it provides 20 more teeth than my current blade. I have a blade with 24 teeth and was familiar with it's abilities. This new Cresent blade looks very well made and was easy to install. I made some cuts in a couple of material tyes and was very pleased with the ease of use and operation, no binding, no slow down and the straight cuts were easier to do than the blade I...
Great Circ Saw blade for Composites
In order to use the right tool for the job, for installing a composite decking material the proper circular saw blade is a great idea. This Crescent composite decking blade is a 44 tooth blade with very sharp long lasting carbide tipped teeth. One major difference from a general purpose saw blade is that the cut design of the teeth is specific to composite decking, and the kerf of the blade is very thin. You won't waste as much of the costly composite decking compared to a normal blade, and the ...
