CRAFTSMAN Storage Shed Organization

Great once finally finished.

Although not Lowe’s fault, craftsman did not send the full required parts to construct the shed. So that added about a week and a half to my build time. Customer support for craftsman is spectacular. However, the instructions to build the shed might as well be in Latin. Highly suggest watching a YouTube video to expedite the construction. Overall, so far so good with the shed for the price.

Very Poor Quality

The quality of this unit is awful. The back wall does not snap together properly at the top and bottom and any slight movement requires it so have to be snapped together again. We had to place boards underneath it to make it not shift and come apart. I called Lowes about a discount so we don't have to take the whole thing apart and try to carry it all the way back to the store because it's more hassle than it's worth. Not bad, but overpriced

Overall, these sheds aren’t bad (I bought two), but at $399 are WAY overpriced. Assembly wasn’t too bad, but the directions are awful; they could be much clearer. The door latch at the bottom of the right door was impossible to install on shed #1; the latch housing doesn’t fit into the channel. I called customer service but, although the rep tried to help me, it was clear she didn’t understand the issue. Easy assembly.

I deducted one star because attaching the door & hinges to the shed were a pain, otherwise I had the shed put together in an hour or so. The instructions for attaching the hinges to the sides said to slide them on, but instead you have to rotate/roll them back at an angle and SNAP them onto sides. Getting the bolt that cinches the hinge on to thread is really difficult if the hinge is not completely seated against the plastic. I finally had to resort to banging it into place with a hanger. Pefect size for condo deck

I bought this unit to store my son's fishing rods, tackle, life jackets, and boat box at my Vacation condo. It was easy to assemble and does not take up much more space than the wicker cabinet that was deteriorating. the Craftsman shed comes with a floor. I decided to buy the optional shelves and will attach a rod to hang the grand children's life jackets up. I brought the shed to the 4th floor by elevator, 2 pieces at a time. It took about 90 minutes from start to finish.

Just as described

Went together in a snap. Not even a need for a rubber mallet. Helps to have a helper for 2 minutes adding the back panel after the two sides are in place. Straightforward directions, and yes, these IS a diagram inside the directions for suggesting a size for shelving if you want to add. Others will just store rakes and brooms in it I suppose. Picked up a 24" x 18" concrete "paver" to set in the bottom (Inside bott measures 27 x 20) that weighs like 50-60 lbs. Won't be going anywhere now.

average but good attempt

Instuctions on hinges need more detail-they fit but had to be beaten into place on one of them. Ridge line roof support had confusing diagram(im' an engineer, show reference direction, not square boxes with no reference point). Need to BUILD ON FLAT SURFACE - or doors wont align. had to pull unit away from house once i got walls up - that messed up my gravel base. Overall good - its plastic, probably better then metal, but not great (but much easier than me building one from scratch).

Excellent Buy

Would have been a 5- Star review but we had a couple of minor issues. The first issue we had was with the hinges. Two of them had to punch paint in the threads. Had to run a tap though to clean out. Second was with the instructions on how to install the roof. Don't tighten the 90 degree brackets to the roof until you have placed them on the walls. You'll need the slack to align the bolt holes. Also remember to not over tighten the screws.... it's plastic after all...

Easy Assembly and Room to Customize

Very pleased with this shed. We purchased blindly on a deal but are satisfied with the gamble. The shed itself is spacious inside, and we love the built in holes to add shelves (of which we've already purchased Craftsman accessories for it). It also seems sturdy enough that you could drill into it with your own hooks (but we haven't tried yet). Built the shed in under an hour. Measure carefully the place you plan to put it and

It was fairly easy to assemble but the pictures in the instructions were not always clear. For example, the pieces were not labeled "top or "bottom ". Not all holes were pre drilled so we weren't sure where to place the metal strip inside. We did not anticipate the space needed with the doors open but we were able to find a new spot for it.
