What Customers Are Saying
The pole saw attachment is generally a useful and effective tool for trimming and cutting small to medium-sized branches and limbs. It is lightweight and easy to use, allowing access to high areas. The saw performs well, cutting through branches quickly and efficiently. However, some users found the saw's bar or chain to be a bit flimsy or prone to getting stuck, especially when cutting at odd angles. A few also experienced issues with the gears stripping out after limited use. Overall, the pole saw attachment works well for light-duty yard work and tree trimming, but may not hold up as well for more heavy-duty or prolonged use.

Great accessory for your string trimmer. I was able to use it once, but so far so good. It really helps reaching those pesky branches that hang low and get in the way while you're cutting the lawn.
Useful for high branches
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) tool works as it should. Comes with the extra extension if needed and also provides the chain oil for the first fill. Mine didn’t seem to use any oil at first try so I had to adjust the oil screw. I don’t know why the chain keeps tightening up also. I had to loosen it after 20 or so minutes. Normally with a regular chainsaw it is the opposite. New chains tend to loosen as they heat up. Overall great for high branches. Can cut pretty big ones a...

Things I've already learned before using the saw
I have no reason to believe that this saw will not be adequate for my needs. I have not yet given it a try but that's coming soon. I've been too busy with my 14" conventional chainsaw lately but will be switching to the pole saw soon. I have two acres of mixed oak woods in Florida that I'm cleaning up to make it more "park-like." I read one reviewer's remark that it cuts wood like butter. I'm theorizing that this was because he had a new sharp chain at his disposal and that it was being lub...

First impressions were Excellent!
I've been wanting a pole chain saw for quite a while. When my 14 yr old Craftsman string trimmer finally died, I replaced it with a model that could have attachments. Factory warranty is two years from MTD, but a Lowes warranty extension was not available. That was surprising. Setup was easy out of the box. The only issue was the chain was way too tight. I loosened it and ran it for a few seconds. I checked that the oilier was working correctly. It seemed to be working OK but I opened it up a qu...
Exceeded expectations
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got this Pole saw attachment have had others in the past from different brands but would not work with new power unit so decided to give this one a test. worked great the extra exitron for more reach does not seam to give the unit any more flex chain is super sharp and like the details on the bar letting you know what replacement parts to get when the time comes. would recommend to others if your looking for a device like this.

Unballanced ~ Need Improvement
http://mobileallawncare.com/trimmerplus-review-the-detachable-pole-saw Hi, I’m Tony. I am lawn care professional by trade and I buy and review products. I have recently started looking for different ways to make money seeing as how the lawn care season is ending. I decided I would start adding tree trimming to my list of services offered. I set out to Lowe’s and bought me a TrimmerPlus. I have owned one of these before and I liked it but I have moved several times since I last used it and now I...
Effective, convenient, and feasible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pole saw trimmerplus add-on is the best option for homeowners who just need to maintain their property without having a garage or shed full of equipment. This particular add-on pole saw is easy to use and cuts clean and has good balance. I used to provide yard service with my dad, so I’m very familiar with different brands of tools and residential vs. commercial grade quality. Troy-Bilt is my choice for my yard equipment because it’s relia...

Excellent Tool
This far exceeded my expectations. I bought a different model from a competitor and after killing two of them within the first 5 minutes didn't bother with a third. I got this and it runs great on my Husqvarna 128LD trimmer. So far I've used it to cut pokeberry weeds and small trees out of my long row of huge pines. Also have trimmed back several low hanging branches with no problems. This thing is sharp and cuts fast. You will have to adjust chain a few times until it stretches out which is no...
Disappointed
Out of all the power tools I have in my lawn care arsenal. A gas powered pole saw is one item I have not had. I own an electric one, but, the cord limits it"s range of use, so , I decided to purchase a gas powered one. I purchased this brand because it was priced right and carried a well known name. Troy Bilt. Out of the box the unit looked ok. I was surprised to see the saw housing was carbon fiber or plastic. The bar and chain looked ok. After reading the literature about the product and follo...
