A beast of a machine!
So far this mower is a beast! My old commercial Scag 60" deck drive broke after 17 years, and I mow over 4 acres at one time in the foothills of East Tennessee, I have very diverse typography and uphill and downhill sideways, you name it, very challenging. Got it home, saw no owners manual. Oh well, just downloaded it from online. Went out the next morning to try it out. Filled it with gas. Called for 1.9 quarts of oil. Let it settle,checked the dipstick, too much, went to drain a little bit out found out the oil plug was only in one turn. It was already leaking out.. Why Craftsman - MADE IN USA
The frame is built solid. It definitely needs an articulating front axel. There are no grease fittings on the front wheel spindles nor the blade spindles. They both should have them. Sealed bearings only go so far. They need to use stainless steel bolts in the entire deck. I replaced all mine before even using it. the mower, everything seems good except haven't been able to lower the trimmings gaurd and on very little inclined rear end slides loses traction, been really pondering about returning and try something different or just invest in maybe some different tires idk, but haven't had it long. isn't going to work at my house in its current setup

It's a great machine and a very good value.
This machine appears to be of very high quality, and it certainly is priced right. It came ready to crank up and start mowing with the addition of fuel only. I read the owner's manual to learn how to operate it and had no trouble starting it and mowing without any prior experience with this type of mower. It is very powerful and easy to get onto the operation of it. It runs over an hour on a tank of gas while cutting about an acre of grass. I highly recommend it. An 83 year old retiree.

Worth every penny!!!
I wanted to updrade from my T8000 42" rider to a large deck zero turn. The Z5800 54" meet all of my needs, including set budget. The online sale experience was great and the scheduled delivery was excellent. It arrived with a no start but after some tinkering, it has started without any issues everything since. I wish it had an hours meter and possibly a fuel guage but, i am living it so far.

Blade belt probably will break almost immediately
Bought this mower the other day, I was told by the salesman that they were having problems and returns because the blade belt broke with minimal usage, but otherwise a good mower.
