Over all it's decent

Not a good mower for anything over 2 acres, have had mine for a few weeks and finally have gotten the hang of it, over all it is a decent one. Mine has the Kohler K-series engine, it's ok, but I'd rather have gotten the one with the Kawasaki engine, though I needed one right away I was limited on choices. Though it is claimed it comes with a hitch assembly, I guess the 2026 model does not come with it at Lowe's? Kind of disappointed about that I have to buy an aftermarket one, if I find I have a...

Great Mower

I purchased this mower two weeks ago and I have had no issues. The machine leaves an awesome cut and has plenty of power. The high back seat is a plus, very comfortable and I would have no worries of sitting in that seat for hours. It's one of the most comfortable seats I have had on a machine. I looked at five different brands and went with the Craftsman because of their durability, and the fact I'm a huge Craftsman guy, and yes, I'm aware that they are not true Craftsman anymore.

Broke down after second time we use it.

Return policy just for 2 days. Mower is just got delivered last week. Use it once to test then mowed yesterday for a couple of hours and the motor suddenly died. Can’t do anything for now. Needs to contact the craftsman company to fix the motor. Hope they can fix it ASAP! Disappointing for this kind of expensive purchase.

Powerful engine

I bought this 10 months ago, the Kohler Vtwin engine is smooth and powerful, mulches well, the mulch cover can be a bit loose, I added 1 small sheet metal screw in the center with a small flat washer, drilled a very small pilot hole and the mulch cover now fits tight without letting grass thru the cover. The Zero turn is sensitive but you get used to the controls, is best for flat land, a regular tractor mower is best on rough terrain and hills, the mower does a good cut and the Vtwin is awesome...

Bought my z5200 zero turn and it came right on time but it didn't have a key so it has just been sitting in the yard, i went to my local lowes to see about getting my key for it and was told to go to the craftsman website and buy a key

Factory defect

The level adjuster moves out of position to a lower cut when mower is bounced around in the yard. This needs to be fixed. I considered a factory defect.. example I had setting on 3.5 after 20 minutes and cutting grass. My handle was down to 2.0 by bouncing around it moved out of position of course messed up the yard cutting it.

comes with you a key

I ordered a zero turn riding lawn mower Craftsman and it looks great but it comes without a key. they say they do not have them at Lowe's I have to call craftsman to get them to send me a key. if I would have known that the lawn mowers do not come with keys I would have never bought one so now Lowe's wants me to jump through hoops to try to get a key and I have no way to return the lawn mower back to the store

Z5200 is a great mower! Highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have read a number of the "bad" reviews. Except for a few, they are all ridiculous. I have this mower since February 2026, not a long time, but enough time to put 17 hours use on it. I added the factory hour meter to it. The mower has performed extremely well. I selected it over a John Deere due to options and warranty time and conditions. I added the bagger, which I wished was not so expensive, but it works well. I recommend the Z5200 ...

It's a very nice mower

What I like... is the mower. Very powerful and plenty of heads turn when I'm mowing. What I didn't like... was the manual being left in a bag out in the rain attached to the mower. Being that this was my first z-turn mower, I wanted to read up on the basics before I started it up. I had to take extra time to look up the manual online instead. Not a huge deal this time, but it showed me the level of professionalism the company has on such big purchases.

Ran for an hour and a half

It literally ran for about an hour and a half. Turned it off to take a break and came back 20 min later and would not restart. I can hear the solenoid clicking but the starter won't engage and I tested with a multimeter and there is no power to the starter so it's a bad solenoid? I guess that's what $3000 gets you these days. Waiting on a replacement from Lowe's.
