I like the small form factor, I also like that is in the 12v variety. I think this will make a good edition to the shop for fixing misalignments from glue ups or chamfering edges (as an alternative to a router). Overall pretty pleased with it, I haven't done much with it outside of the initial testing, but I do think it will be used more than I anticipate. Exceeded expectations!
I bought this because my block plane wasn't cutting it... Literally! I'm very handy but not a pro. I generally like poplar for trim work, but it's a hard soft wood and can be difficult. I biscuit joined 1x2 edge trim too an 2'x8' window bench to give a nice thick edge, of course there was a bit of a lip at the joint of varying depths and locations including an angle joint which was the main problem....on 3 side of it! Best power plane for the money
Bought one two years ago and liked it so much, I bought another. One for the shop and one for the service truck. Well balanced and a joy to use. I now own 12 of the BOSCH 12 volt power tools.

Handy little Planer
I used it to shave of some of my front door so it would not bind at all. It works perfectly for projects like this. It was quick and easy. The only thing I didn't care for was the dust bag. It would collect the shavings but then the shavings would clog up the entrance to the bag and then there was wood dust flying all over the place. From now on I will use a vacuum cleaner hose or a shop vac.

Perfect for your tool bag!
I’m a general contractor and do handyman service in Oklahoma City, and this tool is great for shaving doors that don’t quite fit. I used it to take a 1/2” off painted cabinet doors while installing an over the range microwave. Fast and easy. Nothing beats a good plane sometimes. I have worn out an old Rockwell electric planer doing these jobs. Good size to power balance
Bought the bare tool. I have plenty of batteries and chargers. It doesn't disappoint. I will say though, the shaving bag is worthless for anything over 3/4". On 1-1/2" it plugs up, which really wasn't unexpected. That's the only - so far. I could easily control it to put a chamfer on the edge of a 1-1/2" board. If you don't expect big plainer performance out of this little guy, you won't be disappointed ether.

Powerful planer and nice portability
Great price and powerful planer, much easier and precise than a hand planer. This thing will move so be sure you have sufficient pressure on it and exactly where you need to be to start. The battery life seems great and the power for the small size is impressive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using this to plane wall studs in a shower to flatten the wall. Shave a door down. I usually use it most for scribing baseboard to the floor. this little guy has way more power than I thought. Easy to handle and use.

Very handy 12 volt planer
This 12 volt planer helped me quickly size down a trim piece to fixture a soffit panel as level. I was surprised how smooth this planer worked.
