Picked up a Compact 24" with the AX 223cc engine on sale for $780 + tax with free shipping in January 2025. At that price, I think it's a good unit. I bought through the app since my local store wouldn't deliver it (they said no delivery on clearance items). Showed up in a box on a pallet via Estes freight. Huge let down. Run away from this engine.

I bought this one month ago and it’s only worked for first 7 days! With no blower I’ve gotten opportunity to shovel my drive for 4 snow events and prediction of 10” of snow tonight. I had a 15+ year old compact and wanted to trade up to something newer. What a mistake. Snow Blower good - Lowes Customer Service NOT

Purchased a new, assembled, Ariens Compact 24 snowblower from Lowes website for delivery. The snow blower arrived in a box on a large wooden pallet - NOT assembled. Took the unit out of the box to discover it was already 3 years old (mfg year is labeled on the unit). Furthermore wherever it was stored was so hot the snowblower nameplate glue let go and the nameplate we just lying on the bottom of the box. Powerful well built snowblower

I just bought one last week from Stoller a local dealer who service what they sell We just has a snowstorm dumping 12-13” if heavy snow This unit is a beast It started right up and was easily throwing snow 40’ The city plowed our street and left a 4’ tall pile across end of driveway The Ariens Compact chewed through all of it Great quality Great ergonomics

Delivery was Great but Timing was Not.

The only reason why I didn’t rate my experience a 5 is because my snowblower arrive two days later than I was told it would. What Lowes did right: they delivered my item in great shape and rolled to my back yard.

I ordered after the big snowstorm we had. I haven’t used it yet but it looks like great quality and well made. Hopefully next winter we won’t get lots of use from it but glad we have it because I’m tired of shoveling.

Great Machine a few Quirks

Been putting off getting a 2 stage blower for years but we're getting a bit older and the single stage blower I have just isn't cutting it anymore. Nice Snowblower - but the “free assembly” wasnt

This snowblower is perfect for me, it’s strong enough to get through snow but maneuvers well for an older woman to use with confidence based on using a friends. Sadly it was delivered assembled (free of charge) but assembled incorrectly. The bar that controls chute direction was just hanging loose, and cracked the bushing that holds it to the dash. I got the lemon

Everyone should be good buying the Ariens 24 in, because I got the lemon. Works great when it works. Purchased in 2023, after less than 25 hours of use the carburetor failed. Fixed under warranty but still cost me almost $200. Worked fairly well for 5 uses after being fixed. The new carburetor failed last week.

Ask for the owners manual & starting cord.

Overall, my experience with/during the purchase was fine. However, I was not given an owners manual or a starting cord. I find both of thes things very questionable. I subsequently called the store and inquired as to why I wasn't given the items.
