Large compartment! No more curled magazines. Even though it’s plastic it looks very expensive from street level, It is very durable and never loses it’s closing and opening integrity after more than a decade. Great curb appeal, even for expensive neighborhoods. Small packages that would normally end up on your porch can fit it this box. I bet every mail carrier wishes everyone had this box. I have had this exact mailbox for 30 years now and it is still going strong even in the hot South Texas heat. Repainted my red and yellow flag a few times and armor all the box to freshen it up because I am picky and like it to look new, but I would definitely recommend this box. It is big enough to hold small packages without them being crammed in. My favorite feature is the lever under the red flag. Plastic knob to hold door broke
The knob/button/fastener to hold the door in position for it to be opened and closed broke and now the door comes open when ever the wind blows or when the post person fails to shut the door tightly. The door hangs on one pivot point which I am sure will soon break also.
Good Design but Concerned About Product Life
The mailbox’s compact design and shape are commendable. Its smaller side profile is advantageous, potentially reducing the impact of snow during winter plowing. Unlike my previous metal mailboxes, which were prone to deformation and rust, this one is made of plastic. However, the flexibility of the plastic raises concerns about the door opening when struck by snow, potentially allowing moisture inside and wetting the mail. The validity of my concern will be determined over time.

Comes pre-assembled, very easy to install on an existing 2x4 or 4x4 cross-piece, just needs four screws 1-1/2" or longer. Really fast and easy to install. Would have given five stars, but bought this one to replace the same model, on which the door was hit and broke off (I suspect it was open and the mailman pulled up too close and hit it). Both pivot points on the door broke completely off. Would have been nice if a softer plastic was used, so the pivot point would pop out instead of crack. Don...

this is replacing one that I bought about 10 years ago. It was great until the snowplow somehow happened to hit it twice this year. I was able to repair the hinge, but there was a crack in the back that left in moisture. That was the only reason I replaced it. Great mailbox.
