Great if you don't live on dusty road
Live on a street that has a lot of traffic and I thought this mailbox would be great. The traffic kicks up a lot of dust and debris. Once a little bit of dust gets into the mailbox key area, GOOD LUCK twisting that thing. Nearly wrecked my fingers while getting ran over at the same time trying extract my keys from the keyhole. Same problem exists in the back entry area. I have yet to apply some oil to try to fix this issue but I am hoping that is a saving grace. If you live in suburbia and ...
Good for what it is
First of all, I purchased the Oasis for use as a "walk-up" box, and not for road or driveway delivery. In that function, it does very well, indeed. No more cramming catalogs, magazines, etc. into your typical garden-variety, flimsy, wall-mounted "El Cheapo" mailbox. It comes with, count 'em, FOUR keys! I ordered this mailbox to replace my perfectly good one. I was annoyed that thieves were forcing me to spend money and time. We put this box up and the second night, the vandals returned. They tried really hard to get into the box and only succeeded in breaking the small silver faceplate that covers the lock. Perfect Size and excellent security
This is the perfect size for our needs using the current post. This looks better than the Large square model. I researched other brands for Safety features and can say that the opening receptacle for this does not allow a naughty hand to go through unlike mailbox from the other brands. It is also great that it comes with four keys. It has an opening from the rear which allows full access and easier retrieval of your mail. Excellent product.
