Costly in the long run

Absolutely LOVED my LG washer when I got it, but for the price I paid, I expect it to work more than 3 years without needing a major, costly repair. The man who serviced the unit said that this is a common occurence with LG appliances, and therefore it will be the last LG appliance that I purchase. Apparently they should have stuck to cell phones, as those were great!

Not recommended

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incredibly bad product. Build to survive until 1 day after warranty runs out. Doesn't do as good a job cleaning as our 25 year machine that was still working when we just had to have an upgrade. The ThinQ app is nothing but a novelty, doesn't diagnose anything and the customized settings are silly. Here's and idea for a washer control panel: On, Hot or Cold Water, Rinse, Spin. Main problem though is it decides when and if it wants to power on. ...

Hope it dies so I can buy new machine

Well it gets the clothes wet. Have owned 5 washers so far in my life and this one is the worst. Workout clothes are often stinky and need to be rewashed with extra care or at best do not come out smelling clean. Simply does not use enough water I suspect. Also intermittently and unpredictably will not turn on. Have to unplug it for varying amounts of time and/or rest GFI switch to try to revive it. Bought this for its WiFi capabilities in reporting errors but can't transmit if it won't turn on!

Operation

I bought the washer about 4 years ago. It has serve me well except the drain hose feeder clamp has come loose twice in the last year causing damage to my hardwood flooring.

Excellent Washer for the size and features

But I bought it to clean my clothes, not to take advantage of controlling the wash cycles when I’m out of the house running errands. It’s a great washing machine. Normal cycle through delicate. All thorough. I love that it’s pretty quiet as well. Very happy.

Excellent washer.

I have had the washer since 2021. Also bought the matching dryer. I love the washer, clothes come out clean. Saves water usage, which is a big plus. Can easily change the settings to desired cycles and water temps. It is a great washer. Dryer is also excellent.

We went from a front load machine to this LG wash machine and mostly satisfied with the wash machine. The washer is large enough for a few blankets which it good. It is easy to load in my opinion. One of the tips on loading a large load or blankets is to balance the load equally all around basin or sometimes it will rock in spin cycle. If you are 5 feet tall you ...

quiet balanced operation

Bought this machine , brand new, had it for 3 years, main circuit board went -great machine , not so great longevity.

Horrible! Worst washer I have ever owned.

This is the worst washer I have ever owned. Clothes do not get fully wet as there are LARGE dirty dry patches when the cycle is complete. I need to wash everything 2 or 3 times to get things wet and clean. The soap does not rinse out, leaving white streaks on my black items. Best I have managed is to use the deep clean with extra water, still does not clean the clothes. I am sick I paid hard earned money for this piece of crap.

Poor Quality Parts, Pricey Repair

We purchased this washer in June of 2021 and we had to replace it less than 3 years later due to the fact that multiple parts had failed and it would cost more to fix than purchasing a new unit. After the warranty expired it started leaking and we had to replace a part, then a year later the wash plate and the gear housing broke. The machine worked well while it was functional, but the quality of the product was not good.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this appliance 5 years ago. Mine is a single occupant home. I probably wash 2 small loads a week. This machine now needs all components other than the motor replaced. This has been confirmed by your texh after an onsite diagnostic visit. In the course of my life, I have purchased use washers that outperformed this machine. Service tech is terrific! However, I won't purchase another poor performing inferior LG product. Honest enoug...

Poor reliability
