Would RecommendThe Nest Video doorbell / 2nd Gen was super easy to install. It connected through the app right away. It stays connected to WiFi (unlike my old Wemo). It even connected to the old door chime wires (unlike my old Wemo). I have installed it and forgotten it’s there, until someone comes to the door. Fantastic product.

Would Not RecommendPeople are knocking on my door before my doorbell camera notifies me. My previous ring door bell would notify me by sound that someone is approaching. to late to exchange it. Lowes install was a nightmare and had to cancel and call an electrician that cost me more money.

Would Not RecommendWe had the original Nest Hello and the button quit ringing the chime inside the house. I purchased this as a replacement. The orientation/aspect of the camera changed between the models and you do not get the wide angle view with the 2nd Gen like you did with the original. You can no longer use the Nest app to operate you have to use google home which is clunky.

Huge step up from the old model!
Would RecommendNothing bad to say about this one except maybe its camera is so good I’m getting a lot more alerts than usual. I had the older model before it was a google product and the camera was pretty crappy,not likely to make any positive ids if needed. New camera is way better and I’m getting alerts from people passing down the street like 30’ away. My old one was almost useless to look at activity because it would record nuisance stuff like leaves blowing
