Great shelf but watch spacing to get proper fit.

You would think these could go on a nice solid wall of gladiator planks but you have to have the strips at just over 5 inches to get them to grasp correctly leaving exposed wall in between. Otherwise love the shelves just wish I didn't have to see the sheetrock wall between slats.

Nice spacious shelf

We installed a few of the Gladiator garage organizing items this month. My husband is not a handy guy but he could handle this project without any trouble. I like the quality of the product and the flexibility of it. We installed 5 of the 4' sections of track, and we did two of the large shelf (granite) and two baskets and a hook. Great Shelf

First time using the Gladiator wall system. Why I waited so long, I have no idea. Extremely easy to install. Great product and the shelf feels very sturdy. Gladiator rail is 48" long, so I was able to locate it perfectly attaching a total of 6 screws into studs. If you're looking to organize your garage, storage room, shed or wherever do yourself a favor and look into the Gladiator system. You'll Be Happy You Did!!!

Track separation needed to be 5.34" and not 6"

Just bought this and installed it. Beware of the directions, separating the tracks by 6", per the instructions, was too far to mount the shelf. I had to then take down and lower one track by 1/4" to get a good, solid fit.

Gladiator heavy duty shelf

Purchased this along with other gladiator products. Shelf itself is very sturdy and well made. It definitly will handle the weight load but make sure you hit the studs I'm very happy with it even for the expense, Which I would say is a bit high, $60 for the shelf and $11.00 each for a 4ft track, makes for a $82.00 per 4ft section of shelf. So if you plan to put shelves up in a garage take note of the weight of the items being stored, maybe use in combination with the wire frame shelves. Overall ...

Gladiator = Tough & Strong

I own 8 of these shelves. Initially bought 4, then added 2 and then another 2. They're not cheap - but they are so strong. I started out putting large/bulky/light items like coolers on them. Then I started putting up heavier items like boxes of seasonal gardening items - now I put up large steel tools and truck/motorcycle parts (even truck batteries). These things are built to handle the weight. I wish they weren't so expensive - but still glad they are built strong and tough.

Just what I was looking for.

I just installed two of them today, side by side in the garage, They hold a good amount of items up and out of the way. The first one was a little tricky to get set in the track, but I was able to do it with some trial and error. The 2nd one was a lot easier. It would help to have a another set of arms to assist. That is the reason I only gave it a 4/5 on ease of use. I plan to purchase another one or perhaps two within the next month.

It seems to work

The shelf looks great and is built very well. Size is good and I can fit a lot on it. The only thing that worries me is that it doesn't click solidly into place. There seems to be a little wiggle room against the wall portion which makes me a little nervous as far as safety of the shelf. I read about this on other reviews.

do not buy this

I had licenced builder follow the installation instructions precisely but the shelfs do not fit. now have holes in the wrong places in the masonry. very unhappy!!!!!

Looks great and easy to install

purchased this shelf in the past and it is great. Holds a good amount of weight and looks good in the garage.

Love these shelves - super EASY and strong

We put these shelves up with out any hitches. Just measure correctly and voila it's on and strong! I replaced all the wooden garage shelves with these shelves and they actually hold more. I am very happy.

Up off the ground with the Gear Loft Shelving

After geeting all the busy work done (demo, tapping, mudding, painting) the geartrack channels and gear loft shelving were a breeze. very easy to install when the wall is completely level. When I got to a ridge in the wall it gave me quite a bit of trouble. Try to stick to the flattest parts of your wall when hanging any of the shelves. Good quality and very sturdy. I got everything off the ground which is perfect.

Excellent product, easy to install

Great product for garage storage. I have purchased 2 other Gladiator (Whirlpool) products, a 54 inch storage bench and garage trash compactor and I am very satisfied with all.

Gearloft Shelf

Good Product but somewhat expensive. Goes together easily and works well with the other Gladiator Garageworks products.

Well built

I put together and installed this shelf in five minutes. It is strong and very well designed. It is about 45" wide so it fits on one four-foot piece of Gear Track. I bought one shelf to see if it fit my needs. It exceeds my expectations - which were already high based on the price and Gladiator's reputation - so I will be buying several more.

Love the stuff

Strong Sturdy Holds A Lot

Initially I purchased one of these shelves to use in my garage. I was pleased that Gladiator products are still sold in my local Lowe's stores but did have to order the shelf online and pick it up at the store which was no problem.
