I used these as spacers between patio paving blocks. I like how they can be used vertically as well as horizontally. Dropping them vertically in between the pavers allowed me to space things consistently and come back later with poly sand. Two are needed per edge, and there is no need to remove them. This may not be the original intended use, but they worked well for my needs.
