Dead On Arrival
Would Not RecommendIt’s not hard to figure out why Lowe’s is failing. I purchased this water softener last week and installed today by a professional plumber. It was completely dead, electronic issue. I called the local Lowe’s. I was informed I could bring it back for a refund. I know Lowe’s won’t pay the labor for the install and uninstall. My husband and I are both seniors and disabled. So much for service after the sale. Avoid Lowes and this water softener.

I purchased this unit in February 2026 as a new install for my house. The water softener installed without issue and is easy to program and get setup. The parts are all plastic, but robust enough that I am generally not concerned with their long-term usage. Would Not RecommendInstalled per specs, including a slow start. Large amounts (buckets!) of brine sediment were released into plumbing, required the replacement of all cartridges and toilet valves. Washer needed repair. Hours of labor required and hundreds spent! I'll be returning this unit soon.

Would RecommendI have 1 inch supply lines with the identical Kenmore diversion valve as this model. I snapped the fittings together and voila! No modifications to my plumbing were needed. The app is great and has all the controls a freak like me loves but my wife hates!
