Crappy Fridge

Just bought this fridge over a year and a half ago and the ice maker already stopped working. Piece of crap fridge wouldn't recommend.

Whirlpool side by side

Refridgerator is fine but with one flaw.What ever fruit or vegetable I put in it freezes unles I put it in the crisper drawer. I have lowered the temp to 3 degrees lower and it still freezes

Termperature Control Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator almost 1.5 years ago and have had to call service on it multiple times, including an extensive almost rebuild. We are still having problems with temperature control. Very frustrated.

Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought appliance in 4/2024. It is very loud, freezes food in the refrigerator at recommended settings, ice maker broke and had to be replaced in 4/2026. Just a poorly functioning and built appliance. I replaced whirlpool appliances with whirlpool appliances because historically they were built and performed well. This is not the case with this model.

Great fridge for a year!

Purchased the stainless steel version of this fridge December 2024. compressor/inverter went bad and had to be replaced February 2026. Lasted barely 2 months and went bad again within 2 months after Whirlpool tech replaced the parts. Great fridge if you want to purchase another fridge in a year

Worst fridge

It has been a nightmare had to repair it 2 times within 3 years, last repair was 5 months ago and now it’s broken again, I’ve thrown food more than the cost of it, last time buying whirlpool, I’d rather pay for a new fridge than to fix this bad designed useless fridge!

Fail

Whirlpool failed with this one! I wanted to love it and although we are still using it and it does a good job keeping food frozen in the freezer and cold in the main compartment, there are many other issues. The ice maker doesn't work because the genius who designed it, put the wiring harness down in the corner of door jam where it rubs until the wires are actually cut in half. I have re-wired it multiple times even having a professional do it one time. Unfortunately each time it only holds for ...

Buyer beware!!! this fridge died on us after only having it for 18 months!

Not worth it

Ice and water fails

This fridge is now 3 years old. I researched it like crazy and though I had made the right decision. It was fine for the first two years, but then the ice tray started cracking. The water then started to go to a dribble. Things freeze if it is on the side or the back of the fridge. I have been through 4 ice makers and I open up the ice maker every Monday now to clear out all the ice gathered on top of the machine and check the tray for cracks.

Great volume and design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the extra cubic volume of this model. The fact the ice maker is in the door and not taking up the whole top shelf space is great. Everything works as it should.

The front of the refrigerator has rust drips down the front by the ice maker. And, it makes a rather loud motor noise.
