What masking tape ought to be
Would RecommendSeems thicker and tougher than the alternate brands. I went looking for Scotch brand after using some cheaper substitute that ripped almost every time I tried to pull off some tape. Can't beat the old brands.

Would RecommendTape has the right amount of stickiness. I've tried some other brand name tapes and I found they are too sticky and if left on too long they are difficult to remove from surface. This tape is easy to remove while providing very good seal for paint which is what I use it for.
