Walls have to be exactly straight - if your walls arent exactly straight then its easier to just use mortor rather than fill in a bunch of gaps

I have used this product on two projects with great success. You have to make sure the surface you’re using is flat and dust free. Clean and dry the tile as well, it’s very important that the surfaces are dust free. Much faster and cleaner than using thinset.

Great for backer for peel and stick tiles.

Easy to use. Very sticky! We used this as a backer for Art2D peel and stick tiles, due to uneven, old plaster wall.

Doesn't work as described

Product does not properly stick to the walls. Had ceramic tile as backsplash, which SEVERAL pieces fell off the wall and broke. This product is terrible and ended up costing me even more money to replace tile and find another product to adhere it to the wall

It was very easy to apply to the wall and worked great even on areas that were mudded and spackled. One area that came off had to be replaced only because the wall was still very dusty in that area. Wiping with a damp rag and reapplying a new piece worked perfectly. It’s important to use a trowel/firm straightedge to press on it once applied. Easy to utilize

The Mussel Bound product is a great alternative to the mudd compound. A lot less mess. You cut it, put it on the wall, place your tile, and there's no wait to grout. I will utilize this product again. Thank you

This product was recommended to me but I have not used it yet. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it works like they say.

I’m doing this review even though it’s only been a couple weeks since application. With that being said, I do not know what the future holds but so far this product has worked excellently. After following the instructions, the product went on pretty straightforward and the few times I did need to readjust I was able to. If you’re using bigger pieces of tile and your surface is not even you may get a little bit of a rock back-and-forth so you need to pick a side that you want adhered, but once th...

Miraculous!

Where has this been all our lives?!?! When used as directed this is an incredible product that makes tile installation ten times easier. It goes up and cuts easily and the adhesive is very strong yet user friendly. The tiles stick great. We left the tiles up overnight and they were still sticking to the wall perfectly when we were ready to grout.

This stuff sticks

Works well for big tiles (8x8), but had difficulty with our small tiles on mesh that needed to be perfectly lined up. Once you stick the tile it’s very hard to remove or adjust the position.
