Would RecommendThis unit started right up after filling the tank and bleeding the house lines we turned on the natural gas and simply turned the unit on with the switch. Within about 45 minutes we had hot water and best of all a dry floor. We can't complain about the Rheem unit we took out as it lasted 12 or 13 years. Hope this guy lasts even longer!!

Would RecommendPlug and go, fit almost exact to our previous water heater. A few adjustments required, but over all easy install. Water was heated in less than an hour.

Would Not RecommendWe bought this water heater from Lowes 4 years ago and it started leaking now. Fortunately ao smith warranty claim process is smooth which covers the water heater cost but we had to spend quite a bit on the service. If the product is designed to last atleast average life span of water heaters, many customers can avoid this unnecessary expense

Would RecommendThis is a warranty replacement for another AO Smith unit. Seems to work well. AO Smith and Lowe’s were easy to work with to do warranty replacement. Hardest part was bringing the bad unit back to the store.

We were attracted by "same day installation" offered at the store and on line. However, Lowes was unable to connect us with an installation service for three days. Installation service could only consult at that time and could not provide actual installation until three weeks later. Even then, the installer could not honor the sales price offered at our store and would only install at the list price. We ended up purchasing the unit and found another installer.
