drove 100 miles to bismarck lowes to buy this hot water heater. my wife asked the store to make sure there was no damage as we have had this happen before. got home opened the box and the hotwater heater was caved in on the back and bottom. We called the store they said there was a fee to replace

Good But Loud

Had to replace my 10 yr old water heater. This new unit gets hot, but as the unit is going through a cycle, there is a loud thumping sound which repeats for about a minute, then stops. Otherwise, this would be the perfect unit.

Lowes carries a great line of hot water heaters .

Short water heater sold as tall

Was supposed to be tall and was 6in shorter than the one being replaced

repairing less than a year

I am now changing the gas valve on this AO Smith tank 6 months after replacing my Rheem tank. I could not control the water temperature. I had it set between low and vacation mode. The temperature was 150 degrees (scalding). They sent me a new valve, I installed it but it is still hard to get the temperature to a steady 120. It fluctuates to much. I will use this tank till the warranty runs out but I will not be buying an AO Smith tank again. I asked the rep on the phone if others were having th...

Heater bought, no issues, read the manual before, during and post installation. Blinking green light is normal.

Perfect Water Heater for Us

This water heater saved us room by venting out through the basement wall instead of up through the house up to the roof. Plenty of hot water!
