New water heater time.
The water heater was a breeze to install. It took maybe 30 minutes to finish up. I heard good things about this brand from a few plumbers and was glad my Lowes had it in stock. The only thing I was disappointed for this was the requirement for the purchase of the stainless steel installation kit by Eastman. $40 dollars down the drain. The only thing I used was the gas line, as everything else did not work on my application, and I could have just bought that for $13 dollars. Lowes should really g...

Loud Vibration
Would Not RecommendI can now confirm this water heater produces a loud/low vibration sound when it turns on. The recommended fix does not work - turning gas valve to 50%. I also tried lowering heat to lowest setting. This water heater is in my kitchen cabinet and rattles my whole house with vibration for about 20 seconds everytime it turns on. Very disappointing new technology.

AO Smith is a terrible company
Would Not RecommendI had to buy this water heater because my previous AO Smith water heater started backfiring and shooting flames out the bottom. Turns out my water heater had a recall because they burnt down a few homes. When I contacted AO Smith they declined to send me the replacement part as stipulated in the recall, because my water heater sits on a metal pan.
