The cost of living in California
Because of California's idiotic govt interference, this was one of the only choices I had to select a 5o gallon gas water heater instead of the less expensive gas water heaters. It is not installed yet, since I have to remove the leaking water heater from the basement first.

We brought the heater back to the place of purchase but Lowe's doesn't want to honor the warranty even though is been Aprove by the manufacturer, store claims they want a receipt of purchase.
