How many bags do you need to set a post for a privacy fence, is it one per post or do you need more than one per post?

I have found in most cases digging a hole a couple of feet deep that one bag takes care of 1 post most of the times. Several factors such as how big the post is and how big a hole you dig do affect how much you need. I normally get an extra bag and store it in a plastic bucket if I don't use it.

A single hole 24” deep, with a diameter of 9”, containing a 3” x 3” post, would require two 50 lb bags of QUIKRETE Fast Setting Concrete Mix to fill it. Was this Answer Helpful ?Privacy denotes a solid fence. Solid means stress from winds. I would use as many bags as needed to fill hole around post. I would use one bag and add the necessary water, when the water is completely absorbed add another bag and more water. This way all the cement will get the right amount of water to set up.
