Do I have to sand my cabnets before I use this or can I just start using it and skip the sanding. Thanks


Hello, The answer provided by one of our knowledgeable community members is correct. Sanding is necessary, as it promotes adhesion of our stains. Sand in the direction of the wood grade with 220 grit until the wood is smooth. Make sure to remove the sand dust as well before staining. Regards, Minwax Customer Service
