Believe it’s the fan’s rectifier…coverts the AC from your house to the DC the fan runs on.

Was this Answer Helpful ?While working out an issue with fan installation, I asked tech support specifically about this noise. I had even submitted a video to make sure she understand what I meant. She said this is a normal operating noise.
