Is it the same metal and paint finish as the Broan range hood?

I believe it is the same. Boarn may be the better ones to answer the question. I never had any issues with using your every day cleaners on it. I would not use any kind of abrasive though.

Thank you for your question. Our range hoods and splash panel are made with stainless steel. There are different grades of steel that we use. We use stainless steel 430, known as a standard grade stainless on many of our hoods. The Splash panels are made from this same grade of steel. Inappropriate cleaning products can cause corrosion so you should clean the hood /splash panel as recommended.
