Why does the manual say to use an outlet thatcannot be turned off by a switch? Would using a timer, for example, cause any negative effects?


A wall switch might be turned off inadvertently causing food to thaw

@Whirlpool, Why isn't it recommended though? In some time of use scenarios it would be helpful to run mostly at night, even if more energy is used.
