can this unit be used in the garage or must it be in basement?


Salesman at Lowes said it is not garage ready, as it will not function in temps below 40 degrees. Food can start to defrost if temps get above freezing outside, but still not at keast 40 degrees. We got another modle that is garage ready, since we live in Michigan.

My freezer is in the garage in Florida and I've had no problems with the freezing.

Hello! Per the Use and Care Guide: Your freezer operates most efficiently when located in an area where the temperature will not fall below 40°F (5°C).
