There is a delay when turning on the fan,is it normal?I am not a fan of the delay.


Panasonic fans use an ECM motor that is controlled by a PC board. When the vent fan is turned on it must first determine the wattage needed to provide the CFM that is set on the pick a flow switch, usually this is a 5-15 second delay. I assure you that this delay is absolutely normal. With that being said if there happens to be any type of blockage in the venting the fan can also speed up to overcome any resistance. This ensures that the fan will always provide the room with the correct amount of exhaust air that is set on the flow selector switch.
