When comparing AO Smith & Rheem, why would AO Smith use a plastic drain valve? Aren't those inferior? That persuaded me to go with Rheem. Am I wrong?

When comparing AO Smith & Rheem, why would AO Smith use a plastic drain valve? Aren't those inferior?  That persuaded me to go with Rheem. Am I wrong?

A brass valve may have a tendency to freeze up (harder to open) from  sedimentsd than a nylon valve.

The unit comes with a nylon drain valve to reduce standby heat loss and reduce the operating cost of the water heater. Thanks - Gabe
