How loud is it when the fan and compressor are on?


Just got this model, it's about equal to a refrigerator, the noise is not bad at all.

If you're talking sound pressure level there needs to be distance as a factor. Not sure if 45dB is at 1 meter. -6dB each double of distance away.

From A. O. Smith tech support "It usually puts out between 75-80 decibels of sound level." In my opinion, that's pretty loud.

This model has a decibel rating of 45. A normal conversation volume is expected to be around 60 decibels, and a whisper is about 30 decibels.
