Is this mulch safe for a vegetable garden

I have used this mulch in my vegetable garden for years. It does not adversely affect my plants and even seems to help them by keeping the weeds down. The fact that the dye comes off is not of concern because it's food based. I buy it every year for my large and thriving garden full of several types of vegetables.

I wouldn't use this product for a vegetable garden. I would use Scott's top soil blend, consisting of top soil, mulch, moss, and nutrients formulated for vegetable gardens.

This item dye does come off. When laying it down the dye will come off on your gloves. It is not a good use for vegetable gardens.

I wouldnt use it just because the dye comes off. Even when we were laying it down our gloves got stained.
