how much does a bag weigh can a 1/2 ton pickup haul a pallet

Best answer from company was around 2400# way to much for standard pickup. Just seen a guy with a full pallet on very back with tailgate down because forklift couldn't get it in for enough and his bumper was a foot off ground. Any cop seeing that and I guarantee you'll be stopped. He should have moved bags to front of bed at the very least.

Was this Answer Helpful ?A dry bag of mulch may weigh 20lbs. This stuff, which I often use, is dyed and has usually been stored outside in the rain, plan on 40-50 lbs per bag.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Hold my beer, best way to haul mulch is full wrapped pallet. Will be tall & truck top heavy, go slow around corners.
Was this Answer Helpful ?well I found on my 1500 that 40 bags are nice ! full pallet you better off with trailer or rent there truck...
Was this Answer Helpful ?There are 75 bags per pallet. The weight will vary depending upon the water content in the mulch however I have never had any adverse effects hauling a full pallet with a GMC Sierra 1500. But you will want to strap it down so you don't lose your load going around corners.
Was this Answer Helpful ?On average the bags weigh approximately 50 pounds per bag. I used to haul this mulch directly from the places that bagged it. Depending on how long it sat after it was dyed as well as rain will cause weight to change drastically. So if the pallet has 65 bags that weigh 50 pounds each that's 3250 pounds.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Bag weighs about 20 lbs. Pallet containing 65 bags or less shouldn't be a problem for 1/2 ton truck, which load capacity is around 1400 lbs., give or take 100 lbs or so.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes a pu can haul a pallet - and they will load it just ring some good straps -- as for weight - not sure but while the truck will be weighted down it should haul it easily.
