Was this Answer Helpful ?Well, it's made of many things, such as bark from trees, wood from trees, used wood from construction sites, rocks, nails, plywood and either mold or fungus. This is the most pathetic mulch I have ever bought. I returned much of it due to color consistency. Out of the sixty bags I bought some are light brown, some are dark brown, some are black and some are gray. If you're smart you'll run fast and far from this unbelievably pathetic garbage.

Was this Answer Helpful ?The Premium Colored mulch is made of regionally available wood sources. For most of the country the wood is primarily hardwood. Cypress is very rarely used in colored mulch. Thanks
